Worried About a Child?
If a child is in immediate danger, call 911
Montgomery County DHR
Montgomery Police (non-emergency)
Outside Montgomery County (Alabama DHR)
Child Protect does not take abuse reports directly. We are brought in by DHR and law enforcement once a report has been made — so reporting to them is the step that reaches us.
Outside Montgomery County? Call Alabama DHR at 334-242-9500 (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm), find your county office at dhr.alabama.gov/county-office-contact, or contact your local law enforcement agency.
